Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) has published a report following an unannounced inspection of the maternity services at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, managed by Swansea Bay University Health Board. The inspection of the birth centre took place over three consecutive days in February 2025.

Position Statement on Corridor Care

Improvements noted at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon’s Dementia Care Unit

Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) has released a report following an unannounced inspection of a specialist mental health ward at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Part of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Ward 7 is a 14-bed unit providing dementia care. The inspection took place over three consecutive days in January 2025.
