Alun Jones has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), the independent inspectorate and regulator of healthcare in Wales.
Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) has issued a report highlighting the need for improvement in Swansea Bay University Health Board’s quality governance arrangements to support the delivery of timely, safe, and effective healthcare services to the population of Her Majesty’s Prison Swansea (HMP Swansea).
In line with our NHS service of concern process, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s Emergency Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd has been designated by HIW as a Service Requiring Significant Improvement.
