We want your view on maternity services in Wales!

Are you someone who has had recent experience of maternity services in Wales? If so, we want you hear from you.

In support of our national review of maternity services, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), working in collaboration with Community Health Councils (CHCs), wants people to share your views and experiences by completing a short survey.

We want as many people as possible to share their opinions and insight to help shape our review. We’re seeking the views of anyone who has had any contact with maternity services, not just individuals who are pregnant or have already given birth but also their partners and families.

Dr Kate Chamberlain, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales’s Chief Executive said:

Our review of maternity services is a nationally important piece of work. We need the views of as many people in Wales who have experience of maternity services to help inform the review.

We’re pleased to be working together with the Community Health Councils in the production of this survey to help ensure the views of people across Wales can be heard.

Alyson Thomas, Chief Executive of the Board of Community Health Councils said:

Maternity services must be provided in a way that respond to the needs of women and their families as they go through such a big, life-changing experience.

So we want people to have their say so their voices may be heard by those who plan and provide maternity services for people living in Wales.

CHCs across Wales will do everything we can to encourage and support people to shape HIW’s national review by sharing their views and experiences.
