Your Voice Matters! Young People’s Experiences with Mental Health Services in Wales
We want to understand what works, and what needs improving for young people accessing mental health services in Wales.
Who are we? We are Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), and we check that people in Wales are receiving good health care.
We would like to learn more about your experiences and, if you have used or been involved in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) or any other similar support.
Alongside, Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and Estyn, we are on a mission to check that wellbeing and mental health services are providing timely and accessible services for young people aged between 11-16. So, let's join forces and breakdown barriers and ensure everyone can access the right help they need and deserve.

CAMHS or SCAMHS is the name for the NHS services that assess and treat young people with mental health difficulties. CAMHS teams are made up of therapists, child and adolescent psychiatrists (medical doctors specialising in mental health), nurses and social workers as well as other professionals.
