The way in which we make decisions and decide where to focus our work
HIW must use intelligence effectively to ensure our programme of activities focus on settings where patients are most at risk of not receiving good care.
Our challenge is to use and interpret a wide range of intelligence to make effective and appropriate decisions about how we utilise our resources.
To achieve this, we have systems and processes in place to ensure our decisions are consistent and based on evidence. Our risk strategy and Risk and Escalation Committee are essential to this process; more information about both can be found in the documents below.
The last document outlines six actions that we will implement internally within HIW over the next two years to further enhance the way we use intelligence.
